Industrial training studio

Training that runs
like the plant.

Map a module as a journey of screens. Operators work a live 3D cell and real ISA-101 HMI panels, and exam gates grade what they do, not what they remember.

The journey

A map, not a page of widgets.

Every module is a route through screens. Each screen picks its own layout: an immersive 3D cell, a workstation of HMI monitors, or a reading page.

  • Screens pick what they show. Lesson steps, HMI panels, camera feeds and questions, chosen per screen.
  • Tasks move the learner on. A screen waits until the plant reaches a condition, like the belt running, then carries on by itself.
  • Gates branch. Pass and you go on. Fail and you're routed to practice, with the attempts you set.

Live task · try it

Start the conveyor.

This is a real screen task. The step waits for CONV01.Run == 1. Close the guard door, press START, and watch the journey move on. Open the door and the interlock trips.

Start-up procedure

Check the guard is closed, clear the E-stop, then press START. Keep the speed in its normal band.

ISA-101 by default

Grey until it matters.

Panels follow high-performance HMI practice: state shown by fill and shape, moving analog indicators with a normal band, and colour kept for abnormal values and alarms. ISA-5.1 symbols come built in.

Exam gates

Pass to go on. Fail to practise.

Exams grade operating, spotting on camera and reacting against the clock, as well as multiple choice. Set the pass mark and attempts, and choose where a fail goes.

  • Operate: reach a tag condition at the HMI.
  • Spot: click the fault on a live camera feed.
  • React: respond within a time limit after an alarm.

Who it's for

Built for every training role.

Whether you run a plant floor, teach a class, or need to prove you can do the job, it's the same studio and the same journeys.

Plants & enterprises

Operators drill it before they touch it.

Turn your own start-ups, lockouts and faults into 3D drills on a model of your line, so new hires ramp up in days, not weeks.

  • Start-up and fault drills on your own equipment
  • Exam gates with pass marks and attempt limits
  • Courses that chain modules into an onboarding path
  • Historian anomalies replayed as drills Soon
Educators & instructors

Coursework that students operate.

Lessons, process diagrams, walkthroughs and questions in one place, with no code and no authoring team.

  • Lesson steps, diagrams and 3D walkthroughs
  • Spot-it-on-camera and react-in-time questions
  • SCORM / xAPI export to your LMS Soon
  • Upload a manual, get a draft module Soon
Candidates

Show you can run the line.

Aptitudes scored on what you actually do at the panel: every tested area, taken once, under the clock.

  • Hands-on aptitudes, not just multiple choice
  • Verifiable certificates with a public link
  • One wallet link for every application
For employers

Hire on proof, not on paper.

Require an aptitude on any job listing, on industrial.careers or on your own careers page. Candidates run the panel; you get verified results, area by area.

Pick the aptitude

TSSA fundamentals, boiler safety, your own start-up: every tested area must be passed.

Paste one line

The gate sits on your apply page and opens the exam; the result comes straight back.

Verified results

Certificates are checked server to server, and a signed webhook reports every attempt, pass or fail.

Fair to candidates

Pass or fail is shared; scores only if the candidate chooses. One wallet link holds every certificate.

Your brand

Your plant, your colours.

Set your organisation's name, logo and accent once, and every module your learners play carries it. Pick a theme for the player, from midnight control-room dark to clean light.

STEP 1 / 1

Start-up procedure

Follow these steps each time you start the conveyor.

Delivery

Runs where they train.

One published module plays on every screen in the plant.

Browser

A shareable player link. Nothing to install.

Floor tablets

Layouts reflow from iPad to phone, so operators can train between rounds.

Control-room wall

Workstation screens and camera walls run full screen as a kiosk.

Headsets

Step into the 3D cell in VR, or view it in the room with AR passthrough.

Yours to keep

A module is a folder of plain files.

Export any module as plain JSON and assets: tags, panels, scene, journey. Review it in a pull request, diff it between revisions, and keep it in your own repository.

The toolkit

Draw the symbol. Test the panel. Train the operator.

io.training works with two sister tools. The same ISA symbols and the same tags flow from one to the next.

Symbol Studio Soon

Draw and animate ISA-5.1 and ISA-101 symbols, bound to PLC tags. They drop straight into io.training's HMI panels.

Tagbook Soon

The HMI workbench: stories for every state, visual tests, and the targets a panel will run on before it ships.

io.training

Put those panels in a live cell, map the journey, and gate it with exams that grade what operators do.

Put your next operator through the cell first.

Start with the conveyor starter module: a 3D cell, an ISA-101 panel, a start-up task and an exam gate, ready to make your own.
